SRE / Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary 
Our client a leading Retail & Consumer Goods provider is seeking a SRE / Infrastructure Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, production systems, and DevOps processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role will focus on maintaining system reliability, resolving escalations, and contributing to scalable infrastructure and monitoring solutions.

This is a hybrid role — candidates must be local to Irvine, CA and available to work onsite Wednesdays and one additional day per week (manager flexible).
  
Core Responsibilities 

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure and services aligned with enterprise SLA standards
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve production issues, including occasional off-hours support
• Handle escalations and implement solutions to prevent recurring incidents
• Build and maintain scalable monitoring and observability systems
• Contribute to code repositories and CI/CD pipelines
• Write and maintain technical and production documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to support system reliability and performance
• Support ongoing improvements in infrastructure, automation, and processes

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Background in software development, SDLC, and IT operations/support
• Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure design
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or CDK
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred) and version control
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Lumigo, or AWS native tools
• Strong troubleshooting and escalation handling experience
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira and exposure to databases (Aurora preferred)
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
• Adaptable mindset with willingness to learn new technologies

Compensation & Benefits 

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $40.00 and $47.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
