General Accountant - Finance

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a General Accountant - Finance to join their team! This position is located in Irving, Texas. 

Initially, the position requires working five days per week in the office for training, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule after a few months.
 
Duties:

• Assist in financial planning and management of the project, including time tracking/valuation, capitalization, purchase order forecasting, and actuals tracking
• Analyze and investigate differences between budgeted and actual costs, providing insights and recommendations to project managers
• Partner with project managers and stakeholders to deliver timely financial insights and support project objectives
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost estimates using project management and financial tools
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, particularly those related to internally developed technology, including contract review and cost performance reporting

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in project accounting or a related field
• Experience with SAP required
• Familiarity with project accounting or financial management tools preferred
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
• Experience with financial and project management tools is preferred
• Exposure to tools such as Apptio One, Targetprocess, or similar platforms is a plus
• Adaptability is important as systems and tools may evolve

The approximate pay range for this position is between $29.87 and $42.67. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
