Financial Analyst

Job Summary 
Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a Financial Analyst to analyze actual costs against budgets and forecasts, monitor financial variances, identify trends, reconcile transactions, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and able to maintain accurate and confidential records while identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and automate accounting applications.

This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data
• Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions
• Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
• Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials
• Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential

 
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years relevant experience required
• Advanced Excel
• SQL
• Understanding of and/or experience with basic Accounting and Finance Functions

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) 

• Oracle/SAP
• Power BI
• ChatGPT or Claude
• IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

 
Work Environment 

• Location: Overland Park, KS / Bellevue, WA
• HYBRID
• Contract: 3 months

 
Compensation & Benefits 

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $30.00 and $43.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
