Biologist - Entomology Focused

Job Summary 
Our client a leading Healthcare & Life Sciences provider is seeking a Biologist - Entomology Focused to join their team! This position is located in Chesterfield, Missouri.
  
Core Responsibilities 

• Conduct insect bioassays using artificial diets to evaluate insecticidal compounds in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards (40 CFR Part 160)
• Receive, maintain, and track insect colonies and laboratory supplies using electronic inventory systems
• Grow and maintain agricultural crops in controlled environments such as growth chambers or greenhouses
• Perform quality control checks on scientific data and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure proper upkeep of equipment
• Assist with general laboratory tasks and provide weekend support as needed

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, entomology, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience
• Strong understanding of entomology or a related biological field
• Proficiency in standard laboratory techniques, including pipetting and solution preparation

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) 

• Experience with insect bioassays
• Familiarity with electronic data capture and laboratory documentation systems
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as GLP, ISO, or similar frameworks

• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail and strong scientific writing ability

Compensation & Benefits 

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $25.00 and $35.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
