Our client is seeking an IT Operations Process Manager to join their team! This position is located in Richmond, Virginia.
Duties:
- Manage recurring activities with flawless delivery, which drive quality and compliant outcomes for key control and operational processes, and ensure zero self-inflicted non-compliance issues, backed by the collection of defensible evidence
- Leverage process management concepts (e.g., CTQs, SIPOCs, Swimlanes, RACIs) to drive clarity and understanding about how existing processes occur
- Maintain current and accurate job aids and procedures, ensuring they are complete and properly documented
- Collect and maintain process data, using tools such as Google Sheets and SQL to reduce manual effort and risks, while providing meaningful transparency into process health
- Analyze existing processes, stakeholder expectations, supporting data, and systems to identify and recommend improvements backed by data and process analysis for stakeholder acceptance
- Contribute to audit activities like process walk-throughs and evidence requests
- Deliver first-line service to peer teams and internal end-users, guiding them through processes and influencing favorable outcomes
- Engage with Level 2 and Level 3 teams by clearly communicating situations, highlighting impediments, and providing appropriate recommendations aligned with process objectives
- Strong understanding of process management concepts such as: CTQs, KPIs, SIPOCs, Swimlanes, RACIs, process health monitoring tools such as throughput and control charts
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT risk and governance fundamentals, with ability to manage processes to avoid non-compliance and resolve gaps
- Ability to follow and execute structured workflows; capable of defining and designing workflows to support existing processes
- Technical aptitude to understand existing systems and capabilities, their interactions, and how they support controls and processes
- Understanding system integration points like file transfers and APIs, and the infrastructural layers of applications
- Proficiency with tools like Google Sheets and SQL for data analysis and management
- Experience with functions such as IF statements, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, COUNT, SUM, QUERY, and data visualization with charts
- Knowledge of database concepts, ability to modify or create SQL queries, and document procedures using Google Docs and Slides for reporting and process outlines
- Familiarity with cyber security and access management principles, with the ability to ensure compliance and minimize access risks
- Yellow Belt certification or experience with end-to-end process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Experience supporting internal controls, audits, or risk remediation activities
