Project Test Lead

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Project Test Lead to join their team! This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota or Denver, Colorado. Eau Claire, Wisconsin or Amarillo, Texas will also be considered. 
 
Duties:

• Lead the testing preparation and execution phases for complex technology initiatives
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases across System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones
• Act as a central point of coordination during testing phases, similar to a project manager for testing activities
• Execute and oversee manual testing of software functionality, installation, and usability
• Evaluate applications for completeness, quality, correctness, and security
• Manage defect tracking, bug reporting, and resolution coordination with development teams
• Ensure test coverage and validate that application changes meet functional and business requirements
• Facilitate testing meetings and working sessions with project teams and stakeholders
• Summarize testing progress, issues, and risks into clear updates and executive-level summaries
• Maintain testing dashboards and quality metrics such as defect counts and testing progress
• Maintain and manage testing workflows within JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools
• Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, architects, development teams, and vendors
• Coordinate testing for application updates, enhancements, and defect fixes across multiple projects
• Execute and manage test cases and testing schedules
• Lead daily or recurring testing status meetings
• Coordinate closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
• Track testing progress and maintain reporting dashboards
• Support overall project delivery activities during testing phases

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test management roles
• Experience leading testing efforts for large-scale enterprise software projects
• Strong experience writing and executing test cases for SIT and UAT
• Experience coordinating testing teams and facilitating testing meetings
• Proficiency with JIRA or similar issue and test management tools
• Strong communication and reporting skills with the ability to present testing outcomes to leadership
• Collaborative and fast-paced project environment
• Requires strong communication and leadership during critical testing phases
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when managing testing activities
• Experience working in large enterprise environments
• Experience in regulated or process-driven industries such as utilities, energy, healthcare, or manufacturing
• Experience working with both internal development teams and external software vendors
• Familiarity with Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies

The approximate pay range for this position is between $42.00 and $60.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
