Job Summary
Our client, a leading life sciences provider is seeking a Data Analyst to support its team, a fast-moving group focused on developing and scaling sustainable, low-carbon agricultural solutions. This team operates as an internal incubator, partnering with regional and commercial teams to launch new business initiatives tied to renewable fuels and sustainable crop production. This role sits at the intersection of agriculture, sustainability, and data, supporting a key focused on developing crops for renewable fuel with low carbon footprints. The analyst will play a critical role in data management, analysis, and digital scouting, helping the team understand crop performance, grower participation, and expansion opportunities.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role

This role sits at the intersection of agriculture, sustainability, and data, supporting a key focused on developing crops for renewable fuel with low carbon footprints. The analyst will play a critical role in data management, analysis, and digital scouting, helping the team understand crop performance, grower participation, and expansion opportunities.

Core Responsibilities
- Analyze crop, field, and grower data to generate insights on sustainability and carbon footprint initiatives
- Monitor program performance across an initial portfolio of ~360 growers
- Interpret satellite imagery and geospatial data to assess crop conditions, inputs, and environmental factors (e.g., rainfall, field boundaries)
- Support forecasting and directional analysis of crop programs and outcomes
- Manage and organize datasets (primarily in Microsoft Excel and shared databases)
- Upload, process, and maintain geospatial files (e.g., shapefiles and mapping data) into internal platforms
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems in a largely manual, non-fully automated environment
- Oversee outputs and reporting generated from digital agriculture tools
- Utilize satellite-imagery-based tools to visualize and interpret field-level data
- Navigate various platforms to gather ownership, size, and crop data
- Conduct digital prospecting/scouting to identify potential growers and program participants
- Partner directly with the team lead and collaborate with commercial teams
- Support business development efforts by identifying insights and potential growth opportunities
- Contribute to evolving processes in a highly dynamic, early-stage initiative
- Strong data analysis and data management skills
- Microsoft Excel proficiency required
- Exposure to precision agriculture and/or geospatial mapping tools
- Experience working with geospatial data (e.g., shapefiles, mapping tools, satellite imagery)
- Familiarity with farm data platforms (e.g., Acres, FieldView, or similar)
- Data visualization experience
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets
- Curiosity and initiative—comfortable exploring new tools and asking “why”
- Ability to operate in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment
- Interest in agriculture, sustainability, or renewable energy
- Location: Chesterfield, Missouri

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $85,000-100,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
