Security Analyst
Job Summary
Our client, a leading convenience retail, fuel operations, and supply chain provider, is seeking a Security Analyst to join their team. This role focuses on threat intelligence, analyzing emerging cyber threats, and translating intelligence into actionable insights for Security Operations, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and executive stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze threat intelligence from OSINT, commercial feeds, ISAC/ISAO sources, and internal security telemetry
- Track threat actors, campaigns, malware families, adversary infrastructure, and TTPs using MITRE ATT&CK
- Develop threat advisories, actor profiles, campaign briefs, trend reports, and other finished intelligence products
- Correlate external threat data with internal logs, detections, SIEM, and EDR telemetry to identify potential exposure and targeting
- Translate threat intelligence into detection logic, threat hunting hypotheses, and security recommendations
- Provide threat context during incident response and support vulnerability prioritization, red team, and purple team activities
- Evaluate complex threat intelligence and security-related information to identify meaningful patterns, emerging trends, and potential risks
- Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights tailored to both technical teams and executive stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively with SOC, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Detection Engineering, and leadership teams to support security objectives
- Prioritize intelligence efforts and resources toward threats with the greatest potential business impact
- Apply sound judgment when assessing threats, making evidence-based recommendations, and clearly communicating confidence levels and uncertainty
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in threat intelligence, security operations, incident response, or a related cybersecurity discipline
- Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, the intelligence cycle, and structured analytic techniques
- Experience analyzing malware behavior, IOCs, and adversary infrastructure
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platform (TIP) tooling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple intelligence requirements and communicate analytical confidence and uncertainty
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Industry certifications such as GCTI, GCFA, CTIA, or CISSP
- Experience administering and tuning a threat intelligence platform
- Experience evaluating and managing commercial and open-source intelligence feeds
- Experience working with ISACs, ISAOs, law enforcement, or peer intelligence teams
- Experience supporting vulnerability prioritization using exploitation likelihood and active exploitation data
- Experience supporting red team, purple team, or adversary emulation exercises
- Experience in convenience retail, fuel operations, or supply chain environments

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $36.00 and $52.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
