Senior Systems Administrator
Job Summary
Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join their development team.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability, security, availability, and operational readiness of the IAA platform and related services
- Administer, support, and maintain AWS cloud environments and server infrastructure across Development, UAT, and Production environments
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, proactively identify issues, and respond to alerts to minimize operational disruption
- Provide production support for the IAA platform, including integrated applications, databases, reporting tools, data pipelines, and external services
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve application, infrastructure, access, and production-related incidents, performing root cause analysis when required
- Manage user onboarding, access provisioning, permissions, MFA setup, and authentication processes in accordance with security and compliance standards
- Support vulnerability management, patching activities, certificate lifecycle management, and remediation efforts to maintain secure environments
- Maintain Linux and Windows server environments, including system upgrades, patch management, routine maintenance, and environment readiness activities
- Partner closely with development, infrastructure, InfoSec, accounting, and service desk teams to resolve issues, support business initiatives, and improve platform performance
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge base materials to support efficient service delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automate manual processes, reduce risk, and enhance support workflows
- Support infrastructure expansion, platform enhancements, and new technology integrations while ensuring ongoing system reliability and compliance
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Demonstrated experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, ticket management, and stakeholder communication
- Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPCs, Bastion Hosts, and AWS Certificate Manager
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, including patch management, system maintenance, package management, server reboots, and shell-based troubleshooting
- Experience with user access provisioning, MFA administration, Okta, vulnerability remediation, certificate management, and security compliance processes
- Proficiency with operational and support tools such as ServiceNow, GitLab/GitHub, Azure DevOps, monitoring platforms, and incident management workflows
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams, document processes, manage operational risks, and drive issue resolution
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience supporting investment accounting, financial reporting, asset management, or other regulated financial services platforms
- Working knowledge of Snowflake concepts, data pipelines, batch processing, or downstream reporting integrations
- Prior experience supporting globally distributed applications or multi-region cloud environments
- Familiarity with automation or scripting using shell scripts, Python, GitLab CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code concepts
- Experience working with certificate automation, secrets management, Venafi, or enterprise certificate renewal processes
- Practical exposure to SAP S/4HANA or SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, ETL workflows, file-based integrations, S3-backed storage patterns, and production data/reporting support
- Exposure to ITIL-based support processes, change management, incident management, problem management, or operational risk controls
- Ability to translate recurring support issues into process improvements, runbooks, monitoring enhancements, or automation opportunities

- Work Model: Onsite 3 days per week. Anchor days: 3 days flex
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $36.00 and $52.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
