Our client, a leading quick-service restaurant company, is seeking a Cyber Threat Analyst to join their Global Security Operations team. The role is based in Plano, TX and requires a hybrid schedule.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across SIEM, EDR, and cloud monitoring platforms to identify suspicious activity
- Conduct triage and in-depth analysis of security events to determine severity, scope, and potential business impact
- Correlate security telemetry across network, endpoint, identity, and cloud environments to validate incidents and identify root cause
- Escalate confirmed security incidents with clear documentation and supporting evidence to incident response teams
- Support threat intelligence initiatives by validating indicators of compromise (IOCs) and enriching threat data
- Maintain and improve detection content, including queries, dashboards, and correlation rules
- Document investigation findings, incident timelines, and recommended containment actions within case management systems
- 2+ years of experience in security operations, cyber threat analysis, or digital forensics
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar
- Experience using EDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or Carbon Black
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, networking concepts, and threat actor tactics
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and cyber kill chain methodology
- Experience analyzing logs and security telemetry to identify potential threats
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with scripting or query languages such as KQL, Python, PowerShell, or SQL
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, GCIH, or equivalent
- Experience working within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments
- Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and IOC validation
- Experience contributing to detection engineering, playbooks, or security automation
- Experience supporting a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to investigate, prioritize, and respond to security events effectively
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical teams
- Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset focused on strengthening detection capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global operations environment
- Location: Plano, TX
- Work Schedule: Hybrid
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $41.00 and $52.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
