Our client, a leading Utilities provider, is looking for a Business Analyst to join their growing organization. This is a team is responsible for execution of Programs and Projects for all Security projects.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Our client, a leading Utilities provider, is looking for a Business Analyst to join their growing organization. This is a team is responsible for execution of Programs and Projects for all Security projects.

Core Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining project records for all in scope projects and orders
- Monitor actuals, forecast, and allocated budget to stay within targets and will track and report variances as needed
- Organize, track, and monitor the project records in the approved project management system and in the project central file repository and to support SOX compliance
- Work within the program/product team to ensure accurate forecasting against budget, tracking actuals to meet forecasting accuracy goals
- Use financial and project management systems to track project records
- Create requests for projects, contracts, actions as needed to support project activities, then submit and track to completion
- Analyze existing data and investigate/resolve identified discrepancies
- Perform standard analysis and works with existing data models
- Pull data to populate standard reports or to respond to audit or leadership requests
- Present data and findings to senior peers or internal clients
- Track existing metrics
- Communicate with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data
- Participate in project teams
- Bachelor Degree in accounting, business, finance, engineering, OR equivalent work experience
- Financial management experience
- Ability to learn business systems quickly
- Ability to “juggle” multiple work items simultaneously
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel) or equivalent
- Basic understanding of Power BI
- Understanding of project management processes and delivery methods
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and self-directed
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong Time Management skills
- Self-starter with curiosity and initiative
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to leadership and navigating challenging stakeholder dynamic
- Location: Remote in Oakland, CA
- Hybrid: This person will be working primarily remote and will come onsite when needed
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $53.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
