Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Business Analyst with experience in Data Protection and Cybersecurity to join their team. This position supports enterprise initiatives focused on data security, governance, and compliance, partnering with business and technical teams to translate requirements into effective data protection solutions aligned with regulatory and organizational standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and security requirements
- Support the implementation and enhancement of data protection solutions such as Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview, or similar tools
- Develop and execute business test cases to validate data protection policies and controls
- Assist in mapping data protection requirements to governance frameworks and compliance obligations
- Validate solution design and ensure effective deployment aligned to business needs
- Monitor and report on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of data protection controls
- Support audit readiness through documentation, evidence collection, and control validation
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data protection, cybersecurity, or risk/compliance domains
- Strong understanding of data protection principles, DLP policies, and information security fundamentals
- Experience with Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview, or equivalent data security tools
- Proven experience in test case creation, execution, and validation of security policies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with encryption technologies and secure data handling practices
- Knowledge of data classification, data governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Exposure to cloud security and SaaS application risk management
- Experience working in a regulated enterprise environment (e.g., financial services)
- Requirement analysis and documentation expertise
- Data protection and security awareness
- Testing and validation expertise
- Strong stakeholder collaboration across cross-functional teams

- Location: Chicago, IL
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 8:00am – 5:00pm CST
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $54.00 and $64.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
