Our client, a leading airline and aviation provider, is seeking an Experimentation Data Scientist to join their team! This individual contributor will support the design, execution, and analysis of digital experiments, translating results into actionable recommendations that improve digital guest experiences, merchandising strategy, and commercial performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with commercial stakeholders to develop experiment hypotheses, success metrics, sample sizes, and test plans for digital experiences
- Execute and analyze digital experiments using established experimentation methodologies and best practices
- Interpret experiment results, validate statistical significance, and translate findings into actionable product and commercial recommendations
- Communicate experiment outcomes through clear presentations and compelling data storytelling for both technical and business audiences
- Maintain experimentation documentation, support governance, and contribute to improvements in experimentation efficiency and consistency
- Ensure data integrity and quality through data reconciliation, integration, and auditing
- Leverage Optimizely, Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Excel, Tableau, and/or PowerPoint to execute experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings
- Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, or an additional 2 years of relevant training/experience in lieu of the degree
- 2+ years of experience in digital optimization, guest experience, analytics, quantitative sciences, or a related area
- Hands-on experience designing, executing, and analyzing digital experiments, including hypothesis development, success metrics, sample sizing, and statistical significance
- Experience wrangling and analyzing large datasets using SQL and/or Python
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate experiment results into actionable business recommendations
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong data presentation and storytelling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of experimentation methodologies including A/B testing, multivariate testing, and Multi-Armed Bandit approaches
- Hands-on experience with Optimizely
- Experience with Python, PySpark, Apache Spark, Scikit-Learn, NumPy, and/or SciPy
- Experience working with Databricks and enterprise cloud platforms, preferably GCP
- Understanding of causal inference and uplift modeling
- Experience within the airline industry
- Experience in retail, guest experience, e-commerce, or other consumer-facing technology environments

- Location: Seattle, WA
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
- Contract Duration: 12 months with potential for conversion
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $39.00 and $55.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
