Our client is seeking a Entry-Level Packaging/Sterilization Engineer to join their team! This position is remote (Located in EST Time Zone Required).
Duties:
- Research existing packaging materials, dimensions, weights, and densities
- Utilize the electronic document control system to research and document the current packaging materials, dimensions, weight and density for each product under evaluation
- Organize data in a clear and easy to understand Microsoft Excel-based format
- Follow guidance from the packaging engineer to document the proposed changes to each product under evaluation
- Determine the impact of proposed changes on the overall weight, dimensions and density
- Use basic mathematical formulas to determine how the proposed change(s) will impact each products existing weight, dimensions and density
- Minimum of an associates degree required, preferred Bachelors Degree
- Entry level/junior engineer with strong math, calculation, and Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge/experience of medical devices, knowledge/experience with product packaging can be from an educational project
