Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Glendale, California. 
 
Duties:

• Design, develop, and review high-quality code and automated tests
• Translate product requirements into technical designs, implementation plans, and actionable engineering tasks
• Lead execution across features and drive delivery within a microservices architecture
• Define and document scalable software and system designs in a high-throughput, low-latency environment
• Participate in a weekly rotating on-call schedule to support production systems
• Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize system reliability, and improve operational resilience
• Conduct code reviews and uphold best practices in performance, security, and maintainability

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Advanced proficiency in Java, including deep understanding of: JVM internals and heap management, multi-threading and concurrency and performance profiling and optimization
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem
• Experience building distributed systems using non-relational databases 
• Hands-on experience with Redis and/or Memcached
• Experience with streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis
• Cloud experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms
• Infrastructure-as-Code and containerization experience using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes

The approximate pay range for this position is between $59.00 and $85.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
