Duties:
- Serve as the primary contact for high-value merchant clients, providing proactive support and ensuring successful long-term relationships
- Coordinate with internal teams to address client needs and ensure timely issue resolution
- Renegotiate contracts during annual reviews and work with Pricing Teams to evaluate and adjust pricing models
- Develop a deep understanding of client industries, needs, pain points, and triggers to identify opportunities for expanding partnerships
- Prepare and present annual account development plans to leadership, outlining strategic initiatives and goals for assigned accounts
- Communicate updates on projects, roadblocks, and resolutions to clients, maintaining consistent engagement and trust
- Leverage Salesforce as the primary system of record for documenting all client interactions
- Ensure client satisfaction by proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and collaborating with fraud and financial teams when issues arise
- Create reports or frameworks for leadership to explain major client issues and resolutions
- Experience in Business Development, Data Analysis, Risk Management, Contract Negotiation, Financial Acumen, Key Account Relationship, Management and Salesforce Effectiveness
- Strong customer service and relationship management background
- Understanding of payments flow and credit card transaction processes
- Experience with contract negotiation and ability to work with financial/pricing teams
- Ability to analyze and interpret client-provided data to identify issues and solutions
- Skilled at communicating with senior client stakeholders and internal teams
- Familiarity with CRM tools
- Ability to develop strategic account plans and present them to VP-level leadership
