Our client, a leading communications provider, is seeking a Software/BI Developer to join their team! This position is an ongoing contract role, hybrid 4 days a week onsite in St. Louis, Missouri.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Our client, a leading communications provider, is seeking a Software/BI Developer to join their team! This position is an ongoing contract role, hybrid 4 days a week onsite in St. Louis, Missouri.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate ingestion and transformation pipelines into an analytical data lake
- Model data and define trustworthy, reusable metrics in a semantic layer; ensure every metric traces to the source of truth
- Develop and maintain full-stack data applications that serve metrics directly from the semantic layer
- Deliver executive- and operator-facing dashboards and reports including monthly/quarterly operational reviews
- Own the platform: containerized deployment (k3s/Helm), highly-available databases (PostgreSQL HA), CI/CD pipelines, release promotion, and post-deploy validation
- Full stack development experience (modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework + a Python web framework)
- Strong SQL and Python skills for ELT/ETL pipeline development
- GitHub/GitLab experience
- CI/CD experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.)
- BI/dashboarding experience (Tableau or similar tool)
- Data modeling/semantic-layer experience
- Relational database operations experience
- Data governance fundamentals: RBAC, SSO, PII handling, data cataloging, etc.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools (Kiro, Claude, CoPilot, etc.) or agentic use cases
- Experience as a technical leader/owner of a production platform
- Semantic-layer specialization
- Workflow orchestration (Temporal, Airflow, etc.)
- Location: St. Louis, MO
- Hybrid, onsite 4 days a week
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
