SAP IS-U Techno Functional Consultant

1. SAP IS-U Sr Techno Functional Consultant – Billing & Invoicing
Essential Responsibilities:
- Through specialization in exception/workflow engines, configure exception lists and worklists for meter reading, billing and invoicing
- Define business rules for exception identification
- Implement custom logic for exception detection and resolution
- Configure SAP IS-U billing module, including master data, rates, tariffs, billing cycles and customer service processes
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for SAP IS-U billing solutions
- Manage end-to-end billing processes such as meter-to-cash, budget billing and collective billing scenarios
- Prepare and review billing functional specifications for customizations, enhancements and new developments
- Lead workshops to gather requirements, validate functional processes, and define functional specifications and enhancement needs
- Analyze business processes and map them to system capabilities, identifying gaps and recommending solution approaches
- Troubleshoot functional issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend optimization opportunities
- Create functional documentation including process flows, requirements, functional specs, and user readiness materials
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and cross-functional SMEs to ensure alignment across business processes, systems, and integrations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of techno-functional experience in enterprise systems or transformation programs
- Strong understanding of core business processes and system-enabled workflows
- Experience with functional design, configuration guidance, testing, and system troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills
- Ability to manage multiple functional tasks and collaborate cross functionally
2. SAP IS-U Sr Techno Functional Consultant – Credit & Collections (FICA)
Essential Responsibilities:
- Design and implement collection strategies, dunning procedures, installment plans, promise-to-pay arrangements and write off processes
- Manage integration with collection agencies
- Develop and enhance ABAP solutions for customer dunning, payment processing and credit eval routines
- Integrate SAP IS-U FICA with external systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to payments, dunning runs and credit management
- Set up payment workflows, dunning processes and installment plans in SAP IS-U FICA, including custom enhancements for utility specific revenue recognition
- Implement checks for intercompany service orders to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Lead workshops to gather requirements, validate functional processes, and define functional specifications and enhancement needs
- Analyze business processes and map them to system capabilities, identifying gaps and recommending solution approaches
- Troubleshoot functional issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend optimization opportunities
- Create functional documentation including process flows, requirements, functional specs, and user readiness materials
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and cross-functional SMEs to ensure alignment across business processes, systems, and integrations
- Support UAT, cutover activities, and go-live readiness for functional domains
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of techno-functional experience in enterprise systems or transformation programs
- Strong understanding of core business processes and system-enabled workflows
- Experience with functional design, configuration guidance, testing, and system troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills
- Ability to manage multiple functional tasks and collaborate cross functionally
3. SAP IS-U Sr Techno Functional Consultant – Meter, Device Mgmt & Field Svcs
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop middleware interfaces to synchronize SAP IS-U service orders with third party field service tools
- Use ABAP to customize billing/invoice print layouts and integrate them with SAP Smart Forms or other forms
- Configure SAP IS-U service order workflows (e.g., meter installation/disconnection) to automate
- Configure SAP IS-U device management master data and integrate with AMI
- Write ABAP code to validate meter data flows from external systems and resolve discrepancies in billing
- Act as the primary functional liaison between business partners and technical teams to translate business needs into system-enabled solutions
- Lead workshops to gather requirements, validate functional processes, and define functional specifications and enhancement needs
- Analyze business processes and map them to system capabilities, identifying gaps and recommending solution approaches
- Troubleshoot functional issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend optimization opportunities
- Create functional documentation including process flows, requirements, functional specs, and user readiness materials
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and cross-functional SMEs to ensure alignment across business processes, systems, and integrations

The approximate pay range for this position is between $90.00 and $105.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
