Software Engineer

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team! This position is located in New York, New York.
 
Duties:

• Develop and maintain an internal REST service written in TypeScript
• Design systems and procedures to expand and scale services
• Automate processes around deliverables
• Use Test Driven Development practices and functional paradigms
• Determine creative ways to surface test content and mock services across the ecosystem
• Deliver test content to unblock partners and expose new media features
• Own the end-to-end fulfillment of test content requests
• Support partner needs related to media playback
• Share ownership of playback support channels and threads
• Create documentation for test content and related services
• Understand the intricacies of playback across different brands
• Track and execute against product and project requirements
• Maintain test-stream and mock-service catalogs

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, including modern frameworks and libraries
• 3+ years of advanced TypeScript experience, with strong understanding of type safety and functional paradigms
• 2+ years of leadership experience, managing projects and delivering results in cross-functional teams
• Proven experience designing and building APIs, including data mocking, proxying, and integration with application state
• Strong background in unit testing and ensuring code quality
• Hands-on experience with authentication, authorization, and access management
• Skilled in managing collections/catalogs and structuring data for scalable applications
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Git-based source control
• Experience working with AWS cloud services for application deployment and scaling
• Proficiency with SQL for data storage and retrieval
• Interest or exposure to the HLS video space is a plus

The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
