Storage & Backup Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
Our client, a communication leader provider, is seeking a Storage & Backup Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise storage and backup environments. This role will monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, work with internal teams and external vendors, and support hardware and software lifecycle activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor storage and backup environments through dashboards, email alerts, and system interfaces; investigate and resolve issues
- Manage technical and vendor tickets from initial identification through resolution
- Troubleshoot storage and backup issues with internal teams and external vendors
- Support enterprise storage and backup infrastructure, including hardware maintenance, upgrades, installations, and decommissioning
- Ensure backups run successfully and perform backup/recovery activities as needed
- Coordinate data center site visits and work with internal and external field engineers
- Install software releases, upgrades, and patches and resolve related issues
- Maintain system configurations and technical documentation, including backup procedures
- Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 5–7 weeks
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise storage, backup, or infrastructure environments
- Hands-on experience with storage and/or backup technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience monitoring infrastructure and responding to system alerts
- Experience working directly with technology vendors and managing support tickets through resolution
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience supporting enterprise storage platforms, including Dell PowerStore, PowerFlex, PowerScale (Isilon), Hitachi HCP, Pure Storage, Brocade, and Nasuni
- Experience supporting enterprise backup solutions, including Veritas NetBackup, Rubrik, and Cohesity DataProtect
- Hands-on experience with multiple enterprise storage and backup technologies in large-scale environments
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure, including storage, networking, and backup operations

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $36.00 and $52.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
