Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Platform Engineering (Azure) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on various project initiatives around Infrastructure automation and troubleshooting activities in Azure CSP and PROD support environments.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Platform Engineering (Azure) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on various project initiatives around Infrastructure automation and troubleshooting activities in Azure CSP and PROD support environments.

Contract Details
- Duration: 6-month contract
- Location: Hubs include Minneapolis, MN; Cincinnati, OH; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX
- Work Model: Hybrid
Core Responsibilities
- Create and provision cloud infrastructure in Azure CSP utilizing Terraform and Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Design and build robust IaC Pipelines using GitLab runners, and convert existing ADO pipelines into standardized Terraform frameworks.
- Partner with various application development teams to analyze custom requirements, implement technical changes, and troubleshoot existing platform issues.
- Build custom virtual machine images using Packer, and deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure Windows/Linux VMs, Scale Sets, and Load Balancers.
- Monitor overall system performance, troubleshoot operational errors, manage Jira tasks/ServiceNow change requests, and provide off-hours weekly release support.
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Profound hands-on engineering experience deploying, configuring, and running large applications on the Azure Public Cloud.
- Extensive production experience with Terraform and Ansible automation workflows.
- Strong background creating automation loops using GitLab and GitLab runners.
- Solid understanding and troubleshooting capabilities related to VNETs, Route tables, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Firewalls, Routing, and Load Balancers.
- Direct experience creating and configuring Azure Data Factory, Purview, Azure Storage, Application Contexts, Subscriptions, and Azure Key Vault (AKV).
- Demonstrated knowledge of application security best practices, public key cryptography, threat protection, and Kubernetes clusters.
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Broad understanding of cloud services across alternate platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Hands-on experience using Python coding to streamline infrastructure runners.
- Exposure to infrastructure testing utilizing HashiCorp tools and monitoring cluster environments through DataDog.
- Active technical certifications in Microsoft Azure or HashiCorp Terraform platforms.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $53.00 and $76.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
