IT Project Manager
Job Summary
Our client, a leader communication provider, is seeking a proactive IT Project Manager to join the Device Activation project team. Working directly under the leadership of the IT Program Manager, this role is critical to absorbing key project facilitation duties, managing budgets, and keeping high-visibility schedules on track.
This position is W-2 only. We are not open to working with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

- Location: Maryland Heights, MO – Greenwood Village, CO – Charlotte, NC
- Contract Length: 6–12-months

Core Responsibilities
- Managing approximately 2–3 medium-to-large technical projects concurrently
- Building and maintaining detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project
- Owning project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and action items
- Working across development, architecture, engineering, infrastructure and business teams
- Getting necessary information and decisions from highly utilized technical resources
- Managing and tracking project budgets
- Facilitating project meetings and documenting decisions/action items
- Ensuring project information and status are accurately maintained in Jira
- Preparing and maintaining executive/project reporting and status decks
- Communicating project health, risks, roadblocks and decisions clearly to leadership
- Coordinating vendors, contractors and external partners when applicable
- Understanding enough of the underlying technology to ask intelligent questions, identify dependencies and drive technical teams toward decisions
- Operating effectively in environments that may use Waterfall, Agile/Scrum or a combination of methodologies
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- 5+ years of experience leading and delivering complex projects within large enterprise environments, with responsibility for project planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication
- Experience within the telecommunications or cable industry, with an understanding of industry-specific operations, technologies, and business processes
- Proven success managing technology-driven projects, including infrastructure, systems, software, network, or other technical implementations, rather than exclusively business-focused initiatives
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, with the ability to develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules, dependencies, resource plans, critical paths, and project milestones
- Recent experience leading projects using Waterfall methodologies, including structured planning, requirements management, project governance, and sequential delivery approaches
- Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with the ability to effectively collaborate with development teams operating in Agile delivery environments
- Experience working within hybrid project environments that incorporate both Waterfall and Agile practices, ensuring alignment across business, technical, and delivery teams

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $65.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
