Our client, a leading utilities organization, is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer III (Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer) for a long-term contract opportunity. This role will support an enterprise DevSecOps platform team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the software development toolchain used by more than 300 developers across the organization. This role will support an enterprise DevSecOps platform team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the software development toolchain used by more than 300 developers across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD platforms, and DevSecOps best practices while helping drive large-scale platform modernization, automation, and cloud migration initiatives.

- Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite Weekly

Core Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise DevSecOps platforms, CI/CD systems, and development toolchains
- Troubleshoot platform issues, production incidents, and developer support requests
- Manage and optimize GitHub Enterprise, CloudBees/Jenkins, Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube, and related technologies
- Maintain Terraform-based infrastructure and Kubernetes workloads within AWS environments
- Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks
- Drive vulnerability remediation, patch management, and platform reliability initiatives
- Support engineering teams with CI/CD adoption, automation, and deployment best practices
- Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with organizational security standards
- Assist development teams in resolving platform, infrastructure, and deployment challenges
- Support migration efforts from legacy and self-hosted platforms to SaaS solutions
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows and Actions Runner Controller (ARC) environments
- Convert and modernize legacy Jenkins pipelines into GitHub Actions workflows
- Support repository migrations, governance activities, identity management, and SSO integrations
- Contribute to platform modernization, consolidation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering
- Strong experience with AWS services, including EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Route 53, KMS, and EFS
- Advanced Terraform experience in enterprise production environments
- Experience administering enterprise CI/CD platforms, including Jenkins and CloudBees
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, runners, and secrets management
- Strong Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments
- Experience supporting Artifactory, Xray, and SonarQube environments
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, software security practices, and automation frameworks
- Experience implementing security controls and scanning tools, including SAST, SCA, SBOM, and quality gates
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Groovy scripting
- Experience with identity and access management technologies, including Azure AD, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and RBAC
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and certificate management
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience migrating from GitHub Enterprise Server to GitHub Enterprise Cloud
- Experience transitioning Jenkins or CloudBees pipelines to GitHub Actions
- Actions Runner Controller (ARC) implementation experience
- GitHub Enterprise Importer (GEI) experience
- Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube, or Atlassian Cloud migration experience
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect certification
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives
- Background working within regulated environments requiring formal governance and change management processes

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $47.00 and $68.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
