Job Summary
Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their team!
Contract Details
- 19 week contract
- Minneapolis, MN or Remote
- Remote, US Based, Central Time Zone hours
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Containerizing Windows, refactoring windows components, migrating windows components from on prem to AWS
- Installs and maintains cloud-based applications, systems, and associated infrastructures
- Translates business requirements into code and documentation while managing the life-cycle and communication for assigned projects
- Analyzes and defines business requirements to determine specifications and standards
- Oversees the proper implementation and integration of web and cloud-based applications
- Stays informed of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates the value to the organization's operations
- Monitors system performance, troubleshooting and resolving errors
- Ability to consult with internal and external resources to develop cloud solutions for a range of products
- Ensures quality of the solutions are robust, scalable and efficient to meet the needs of the business
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Experience with one or more cloud platform
- Experience working with large infrastructure hosting environments
- Knowledge of Application Hosting and distributed messaging architectures
- Understanding of network technologies (Ex: VPNs, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routing, etc.)
- Familiarity with security technologies such as public key cryptography and infrastructure (PKI), smart cards, authentication, and authorization
- Demonstration of thorough understanding of how discrete infrastructure components work together to provide reliable and secure hosting environment
- Vast understanding of cloud services and solutions in platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Comprehensive understanding of IT security best practices and threat protection
- Solid understanding of connected embedded systems, including associated tradeoffs and communication protocols, etc.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $53.00 and $76.32. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
