Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer III to support large-scale network infrastructure initiatives focused on lifecycle management, network modernization, and operational support across enterprise environments. This role will primarily support Cisco infrastructure refresh projects, FortiGate firewall deployments, network upgrades, and day-to-day network operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong networking fundamentals, experience with Cisco networking technologies, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative engineering environment. This position offers significant opportunities to expand into FortiGate, cloud networking, and advanced network engineering technologies.
  
Core Responsibilities
  • Support large-scale network lifecycle management initiatives involving Cisco infrastructure refreshes
  • Assist with enterprise network modernization projects across service centers and substations
  • Deploy, configure, and support Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points
  • Support FortiGate firewall requests, configurations, upgrades, and deployments
  • Perform IOS upgrades and firmware updates across network infrastructure platforms
  • Troubleshoot network incidents and service requests submitted through ServiceNow
  • Participate in network operations support activities and incident resolution
  • Assist with network change implementations and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with project managers, field operations teams, network engineers, and technical SMEs
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and network changes as required
  • Document network changes, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Work closely with senior engineers to learn advanced networking technologies and enterprise environments
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking concepts
  • Experience working with Cisco network infrastructure
  • Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Experience handling incidents and service requests
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within engineering teams

Work Environment
  • Location: Remote
  • Standard business hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Occasional after-hours maintenance windows
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $75.00 and $85.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
