Our client is seeking a GCP Cloud Security Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Terrace, Florida.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, manage, and continuously improve security controls to protect organizational data, systems, and cloud infrastructure
- Design, build, and maintain security automation tools and frameworks that promote strong security hygiene across cloud environments
- Develop and maintain automated security and governance solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Python, Google Cloud SDKs, Unix Shell, and other scripting languages
- Own the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the GCP environment, including testing and adoption of new cloud services
- Implement and manage cloud security solutions with a strong focus on automation and scalability
- Drive remediation and mitigation efforts for risks identified through continuous monitoring and security assessment tools
- Integrate internal and external services via APIs across multiple programming platforms
- Collaborate with security, governance, cloud engineering, and development teams to implement secure cloud solutions across various business units
- Partner with enterprise teams to develop preventive security controls and automation frameworks
- Perform security administration tasks including monitoring, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication
- Learn and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance the organization’s cloud security capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, security, or automation
- 5+ years of combined experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure
- 5+ years of Python development experience
- 5+ years building cloud automation solutions
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Unix Shell
- Hands-on experience with GCP SDK and CLI tools
- Experience with Linux and Windows system administration
- Knowledge of cloud networking and security best practices
- Experience with DevOps and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, and Confluence
- Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Functions and Azure Functions
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
- Demonstrate understanding of Cloud Platform technologies and their usage, specifically GCP and also preferably Azure and/or AWS
- Solid experience of cloud security, risk analysis and implementation of best practices
- Hands-on development using Python and APIs
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with GCP SCC or other CSPM tools

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $49.00 and $70.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
